Past Events - 2008
June 29 - Talent Night - A variety of talent from instrumental solos, vocal duets, puppets, storytelling, skits to flags. A fun evening followed by refreshments.
May 26 - Memorial Day Picnic - the weather was very threatening and so we met at the church for an "indoor picnic." As it turned out, it was a beautiful day.
April 19 - Pancake Breakfast - once again the boys club did a great job of hosting, cooking and serving, and many who came did a good job of eating.
April 18 - Everybody's Birthday Party - lots of white elephant gifts with a surprising number of people who absolutely loved their gift!
March 20 - For our second year we shared in a Messianic Passover Seder, the telling of God's work for us in redemption, complete with matzah ball soup, bitter herbs, etc.
March 16 - We had the privilege of hosting the 10th Anniversary celebration of the Children of Pokot Education (COPE) Ministry
February 29 - Chili Contest - Nine individuals brought their best pot of chili and we shared a tasty meal together, enjoyed praise songs and a great puppet performance by our puppeteers.
February 24 - Sunday evening hymn sing -- got out the old favoriates, told of what God is doing in our lives and enjoyed refreshments
February 4 - WEtc... Kids - this was the inaguaration of a new ministry to children of our church and their friends in our community. Usually the first Friday night of each month.
Past Events - 2007
December 31 - New Years Eve Party - we did our part in "bringing in the New Year" - lots of fellowship, eating and games (including "Pictionary Down the Lane" - everyone "wins" and has a reat time)
December 16 - Christmas Cantata during the Sunday morning worship service - "Touched by a Child, Touched by a King"
December 13 - We participated in the downtown Lincoln Christmas Parade and won 2nd prize in the float division. We handed out lots of tracks and had a great time.

December 12 - Puppet program and Christmas caroling at Friendship Manor
November 18 - A very special worship service of praise and anticipation of Thanksgiving - much of it led by students from Lincoln Christian College.
November 17 - Leaf Raking at three homes in the community, followed by a meal provided at the church for all the hard workers.
October 26 - Autumn Fest. The maze was just one of the highlights.
October 5 - Kari's 21st birthday party. We all had a wonderful celebration of God's provision. A few took advantage of Kari's birthday gift - a hot tub.
August 12 - Pool Party / Cookout at the home of one of our members.
July 22 - Hymn Sing / Ice Cream Social
July 13-15 - Overnight campout at Weldon Springs State Park. It was a highlight of the year. The latenight times around the campfire, the fishing (ask about the one that Tyler finally caught in an answer to prayer) and the Sunday AM worship) - all were great times of bonding.
June 10-14 - Vacation Bible School - Water Works Park! "Where kids ride the wave of God's Love!" It was a very-organized, well-staffed, high-impact VBS for the 26 children who participated.
May 28 - Memorial Day Picnic - At our church, all the usual stuff like baseball, hot dogs and all the potluck items, games for the kids. And the weather held out for us! May 19 - Maple Ridge Service Project - We planted a vegetable garden and some flowers.
April 29 - A hymn sing plus (plus worship songs from our younger praise team - new impromptu group) and we ran through a few songs getting ready for VBS.
April 8 - Wonderful resurrection celebration. One hightlight: for the first time, our church did a Cantata (four part harmony) called "Walk Worthy."
April 5 - Messianic Passover Seder using a Haggadah. It was awesome. A wonderful meal, a very spiritual experience led by Dave (one of our pastors). We all learned a lot.
March 31 - Roller Skating. Some of us hadn't skated for ages and for some it was a new experience altogether. A good percentage of participants were of the younger set. I wonder why.
March 9 - Talent Night A fun variety show of songs, skits, memorized Scripture presentation and our own Lincoln Bible Church puppeteers. Maritta did a great job as emcee. For a "fun" evening, it was also very worshipful and very creative. Good job everyone!
February 23 - Veggie Tales Marathon. We had a great time consuming meteor sized popcorn balls, making veggie sculptures, learning about the rumor mill, and watching some of our favorite Veggie Flicks. Our emcee was Jeremy Denlinger, who did a great job.
February 10 - A very nice Valentine Banquet and program for adults. The Jr. High Girls did a wonderful job of serving us. Ron and Joan distributed copies of Love and Respect (a Focus on the Family book by Emerson Eggerichs) to all married couples.
January 28 - Hymn Sing: It was a great time of singing favorites (from the Celebration Hymnal) and also in sharing some stories of what God is doing in our lives..
January 22 - Joan and Jeremy Denlinger went on a short missions trip to Washington DC to participate in the National March for Life. Click here for photos.
January 20 - The "boys club" (our Jr. High group) made large batches of home made pancakes (Tom brought a winning recipe).and lots of sausage links.
Past Events - 2006
December 31 - We did it! We were there when the New Year arrived, playing Apples to Apples, Swap, Tri-bond and eating lots of food! We also had a time of prayer to begin our evening.
December 17 - Christmas program during the morning service, followed by a Christmas fellowship meal. It was a wonderful time for us in which we unfolded the Christmas story in chronological order with an emphasis on our glorious Lord Jesus Christ. From "Away in a Manger" presented by our youngest class to the LBC puppets with the angels doing their "Heavenly Hoedown" to "We Three Kings" in full costume and song - it was a memorable time of celebration.
December 8 - A very brave and faithful 20 nearly froze, yet sang for 40 minutes outside of IGA, after which we had a great time warming up at Einsteins. By the way, in the process we handed out the remainder of our 1000 candy canes!
December 3 - We had a great time participating in the "Christmas on Candy Cane Lane" Parade. We distributed nearly 1000 candy canes and wished many a Merry Christmas with an invitation to "Taste and see that the Lord is good!" To see more photos, Click here.

November 17- We raked a lot of leaves for some older members of our community. We filled approximately 50 large lawn and leaf bags! We also did some work at the church, including moving the chairs back into our newly carpeted sanctuary.
