Ministries

Worship Services

Each Sunday morning at 10:00 AM.  Typical services include

  • a Bible-centered message
  • a blend of traditional hymns, gospel songs and contemporary praise songs
  • Scripture reading - God says "give attention to the public reading of Scripture"
  • special music - an opportunity for members to creatively worship the Lord
  • congregational prayer for needs among our fellowship
  • announcements of events in the life of our church
  • free will offering - our way of supplying for our needs (we don't do fund-raisers)
  • communion (usually on the first Sunday of the month)

Sunday School

We have classes for all ages, the present breakdown is as follows...

  • Preschool
  • K through Grade 2
  • Grades 3-6
  • Jr. / Sr. High School
  • Adults

We use FaithWeaver Bible Curriculum™.  It emphasizes practical application and is loaded with lots of creative activities appropriate for each age group.

Bible Bee

This summer, ten of our students participated in the Bible Bee - the local competition was held on the campus of Lincoln Christian University.

Prayer

We have a small group that meets for prayer - usually every other week on Sunday evenings (presently meeting in a member's home).

Small Group Bible Studies

Earlier this year we had two home Bible Studies in which we studied Christian World View through Focus on the Family's "The Truth Project."  This summer (for four weeks) we learned about how we can create family legacies through Bruce Wilkinson's "The Three Chairs" video series.
